Veneers aren’t Just a Cosmetic Procedure
Veneers are porcelain shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth to make them look white, evenly spaced, and nicely shaped. But they aren’t just a cosmetic procedure, they can also be used to build up your teeth and improve your bite, whether you need longer front teeth, or more solid, pointed canines. Unlike dentures, which are used to replace missing teeth, veneers can be attached to existing teeth and are therefore suitable for more people. Richmond Family Dental has helped many patients develop a smile that’s custom made to suit them white addressing many of the concerns they had with their original teeth.
Veneers can completely transform your smile
If you have badly worn, chipped, stained or crooked teeth at the front of your mouth, veneers can completely transform your smile. They can fill in gaps, make your teeth appear an even shape and size, and give you the healthy, white smile you’ve been missing.
What is involved in getting veneers?
Veneers are usually applied in a two-step process.
Step 1: We remove a thin layer of enamel from your teeth to make room for the veneers.
Step 2: We make a mold of your teeth and send it to our dental lab so that they can custom-make your veneers in a shade that matches the color of your existing teeth. Before you go home, we fit you with temporary veneers to protect your teeth.
At your next appointment, we gently remove your temporary veneers and glue your new veneers to your teeth, one-by-one
