We Can Make You Dentures that Look like Natural Teeth

If you are missing many teeth, dentures or implants may be the answer. Dentures are “false teeth” – a removable dental appliance that looks like your natural teeth. There are two types: complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all of your upper or lower teeth are missing. Partial dentures are used when some of your natural teeth remain.

We can Fit you with Natural-Looking Dentures that Fit Snugly and Comfortably

The right dentures make it easy to eat hard or chewy foods again, and give you a more youthful appearance, filling out your face where teeth are missing. They can also improve your speech.

It’s important to fill in the spaces where teeth are missing in your mouth so that your remaining teeth do not drift into the empty space, and so that they are not subjected to pressure without surrounding teeth to support them.

Partial dentures: consist of porcelain artificial teeth attached to a gum-coloured plastic base. Partial dentures are held in place in your mouth by a metal framework and clasps, which attach to your existing teeth.

Partial dentures may be used when nearby teeth are not strong enough to hold a bridge, or when more than just a few teeth are missing. You can take the partial denture out yourself to clean it, and at night.

Complete dentures: consist of a complete set of upper or lower teeth attached to a gum-coloured plastic base. They are moulded to fit the gum and bone ridges in your mouth and stay in place by suction. You can take the complete denture out yourself to clean it, and at night.

What is Involved in Getting Dentures?

Getting dentures requires several appointments over many weeks. It’s a lengthy procedure because your mouth needs time to heal and adjust after any extractions. Also, to ensure a snug, comfortable fit, we need to take precise impressions and measurements of your mouth, and make trial models.

Thinking about replacing missing or damaged teeth? We can discuss all of your options and help you make the choice that’s right for you.
